SSP’s information and networking includes over 300 organizations in the states where it works and nationally. Information exchanges, study tours and learning workshops for communities, officials and other stakeholders on alliance building in local governance, monitoring of basic services, savings and credit as a tool of empowerment, community led water and sanitation etc.

As co-convener of the national network - Community Enterprise Forum of India - supporting community enterprise with poor communities, SSP links with NGOs in several states. Multiple strategies include enterprise development training, accessing resources from financial institutions and government through joint initiatives.

SSP is a steering committee member of GROOTS International, a network of autonomous grassroots women’s organisations across forty countries. The self-learning methodology developed by SSP is now a part of the menu of activities of the network. Cross-country community to community exchanges, documentation of practices, disaster watch and dialogues on upstreaming grassroots initiatives are areas where SSP’s contributes. Similarly, the community centred women led reconstruction to development strategy designed by SSP is now institutionalised in the work of the People Centred Disaster Group. The Working Group of the Huairou Commission, which is a partnership coalition, seeks to assist grassroots communities and groups to link with policy makers and local governments in their countries.
